Social Bite

We’ve been working with Social Bite since 2022 helping to build the Festival of Kindness campaign and develop a robust year-round supporter retention program.

The Festival of Kindness campaign is now muti-channel, running across TV, radio, digital display, inserts and door drops.

Over Christmas 2023, every channel broke even or secured a profitable ROI, and the charity grew its supporter base too, bolstering its year-round work.

The 2025 Christmas appeal, featuring Sir Chris Hoy, is now on a similar trajectory and interim results for 2025 show the campaign raised target-busting amounts for more innovative work to help end homelessness for good.

The 2025 Festival of Kindness campaign ran across multiple channels, effectively integrating warm and cold direct response strategies, alongside event and community fundraising efforts held in cities throughout Scotland.
350,000 inserts across 10 publications
600,000 door drops against a Mosaic profiled audience

Digital campaign including Teads, Guardian display and You Tube
Radio ads on Forth 1, Greatest Hits, Smooth and Audio Ad Pro
Warm mailing appeal to 30,000 supporters

The results for the Festival of Kindness 2025 are significantly above targets. Income has come in at £1,427,183. The campaign recruited 13,244 new supporters at an average gift of £37, and the warm appeal raised over £600k.

Catalyst also manages the year-round retention and optimisation activity for Social Bite, using RFV modelling to prioritise supporter segments that deliver sustainable ROI across cash appeals, regular giving appeals and gifts in Wills.
